The Aeolian Islands are a volcanic archipelago in the Tyrrhenian Sea north of Sicily, named after the demigod of the winds Aeolus. Located less than 40 km from the north-east coast of Sicily, the archipelago comprises seven islands: Lipari, Vulcano, Salina, Stromboli, Filicudi, Alicudi and Panarea and five small islets. Today there are two active volcanos—Stromboli and Vulcano. You will discover beaches, bays, caves, creeks, cliffs and the incomparable variety and richness of its seabed.
The Aegadian Islands are a group of five small mountainous islands in the Mediterranean Sea off the northwest coast of Sicily, near Trapani and Marsala. The Egadi Archipelago, formed by the islands of Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo and the islets of Formica and Maraone, is an extraordinary synthesis of history and nature. This is the largest protected marine area in Europe. Here the Faraglioni are a truly breathtaking presence, splendid giants lined with prickly pears that stand out against a cobalt blue sea. This beautiful and wild corner of Sicily has become famous all over the world, thanks to films and commercials.
The Zingaro Reserve is one of the most admired natural gems in Sicily. Seven kilometers of wonders of great variety mong the many enchanting blue bays: Cala Tonnarella dell’Uzzo, Cala dell’Uzzo, Cala Marinella, Cala Berretta, Cala della Disa, Cala del Varo, Cala Capreria. The Zingaro reserve is a small earthly paradise. Sailing along the coast from Castellammare del Golfo and the beautiful small village of Scopello you will discover the wild coast of the Natural Reserve where cliffs drop precipitously into the azure sea.
